Frequently Asked Questions

Do your prints have a border?

Yes, the prints have an embedded border of .5 inch on all sides. The actual size of the print is 18x24 with an image area of 17x23.

How are my prints mailed?

Your prints will be mailed in a tubular or triangular print mailer.

How do I flatten a rolled up print?

If you are taking your print to be professionally framed, you don’t need to flatten it. You can bring your print still in its shipping tube to them; they will know how to flatten it prior to framing.

To Flatten at Home: You can gently de-curl your print by rolling it in the opposite direction to which it is curled. Prepare a flat, smooth, hard surface. Clean it of any dirt, grit, or particles that might bruise your print. Clean your hands. Skin oils are not good for a print. Only handle the print by its edges. Place a piece of smooth paper on the working surface; white gift wrapping tissue paper is the perfect size. The paper should be the same size as the print or slightly larger. With care, place the print image-side down on the smooth paper. For the next step, be careful when rolling or unrolling the print so you do not accidentally tear, bend, or crease it during the process. Roll the print: starting at one end, roll the paper/print together in the opposite direction of the current curl. As your print should have arrived with the image-side curled up, and you now have the print image-side down, you want to carefully roll the paper/print up and onto itself into a tube, a few inches in diameter. Do not roll too tightly, and take your time, being careful not to bruise, tear, or bend your print. Slide the rolled up print back into the shipping tube. Let it stay there for a while. The exact amount of time is just a guesstimate; it can range from 30 minutes to 8 hours, depending on temperature, humidity, and other factors. Remove the print from the tube and unroll it. Lay it out, image side up, on a flat surface. With the sheet of smooth paper still covering the image, if needed you can place a few smooth, flat, heavy objects (such as books) onto the ends and middle of the print and let it sit for a few more hours.

Things to NEVER do: NEVER use an iron, no matter how many “protective” layers you put between it and the print. NEVER use steam or moisture to attempt to flatten your print. NEVER scrape the back of your print over the edge of a table in an attempt to flatten it.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Prints and clothing take approximately 5 to 10 business days to arrive. Prints often only take 5 to 6 business days to arrive. Clothing is hand-cut and hand-sewn so those typically take longer, but still usually arrive within 10 business days.

How do I download my purchased digital files?

Upon completion of Checkout, you will see an option to DOWNLOAD ITEM. Click that option and save the product zip file to your computer. You will also be sent a link to Download the zip file. This link will be sent to the email associated with your payment method. To unzip the file and access your purchased files, double-click the zip file you downloaded. Depending on the operating system you are using, the exact process after double-clicking the zip file may slightly differ. For instance, if using a MAC your zip file will be unzipped automatically during the download process. However, either way, you should generally see a new folder created which contains the purchased files (SVG, PDF Notes files, PNG, etc).
